Partnering with People to Overcome Poverty

For more than 50 years, Community Action Partnership of Ramsey and Washington Counties has served our community, educated the public, and transformed systems. Learn more and take action.

ALERT: The Community Action Resource Center is open to the public.

Community Action continues to offer critical supports including processing applications and distributing Energy Assistance during this time, but due to damage to our building located in the Midway Neighborhood some offices and tenant suites will continue to be closed to walk-in traffic until repairs have been completed.

If you are attempting to seek services from one of our building tenants please contact them directly or go to their website for further information.

All people entering the building will be expected to follow generally accepted safety protocols to minimize COVID-19 public health risks including wearing face coverings/masks, practicing safe social distancing of 6 feet or more, and staying home if experiencing symptoms.

While we continue to work to minimize risk we remind everyone to remain vigilant about washing their hands after touching all public surfaces.

Working Together: The Community Action Blog

The deadline to apply for support funds from the State of Minnesota’s COVID-19 Housing Assistance Program (CHAP) is this coming Monday, December 7, 2020. If you choose to apply online, your application must be submitted by 11:59 pm on Monday. Paper applications submitted via US Mail must be postmarked by December 7.

Our state has recorded several number one rankings of late. It's no surprise as US News and World Report ranks our state as the “Most Charitable” in the nation . . .

A bipartisan group of legislators has established a new social media campaign titled #TakeThePlegeMN, which “asks Minnesotans to pledge to wear masks in public spaces, maintain social distancing in public, stay home if they are sick or exposed to the virus and limit the size of gatherings during the holidays.”
