Grow Professionally and Personally

At Community Action we focus on professional, personal, as well as community development. Working at Community Action is more than a job: it’s an opportunity to reach your full potential while helping low-income people reach theirs.

Community Action is a nonprofit that works to reduce the causes of poverty and its impact on people's lives in our community. We serve a diverse group of people, and we are committed to hiring a diverse group of people who reflect the populations we serve.

See our list of career opportunities and find out how you can join not just our team, but also our mission to help people overcome poverty:

Career Opportunities

We update our opportunities frequently, so please check back often to find the career that’s right for you.

All prospective employees must complete a criminal background check. In addition to the criminal background check, all prospective Head Start employees must also complete a Department of Human Services fingerprint background study.

Certificates and Policies

Community Action is committed to hiring and sustaining employees based on our mission and values. Each team member is vital in empowering people to increase economic opportunity by celebrating diversity and inclusion, honoring social justice and equality, and engaging community members and partners in our work.

Our goal is to attract, retain, and engage a committed, talented, and diverse workforce by providing a positive environment with career growth opportunities, successful work-life balance and market competitive compensation and benefits.

Our organization’s culture embraces integrity and accountability, respectful relationships, cultural diversity, and understanding and support as we create a community that challenges poverty in our community, our region and nation.

In accordance with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (“ADA”), and other relevant statutory requirements, Community Action will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities. Community Action is both an Equal Opportunity and an Affirmative Action Employer.
We believe it is vital to the Agency and to basic human dignity and welfare to promote economic, social, and educational opportunities for all.
