Action Talks: Storytelling
Speaker, trainer, and advocate Gina Iliev is the Director of Neighborhood initiatives. She builds, develops, and manages strategic relationships between organizations, politicians, governments and stakeholders, through an equity lens.
As a young mother, the challenges she faced within the social welfare systems pushed her to pursue and received an A.A. and later a B.A. in Gender, Women’s and Sexuality Studies from the University of Minnesota. The struggle to attain an education as a single parent sparked an interest in Policy Studies.
Her work centers around social justice, reducing barriers through grassroots movement, capacity, and community building. Ms. Iliev has spoken at The Women's March NY, as well as at many universities on topics ranging from MeToo, activism, privilege, and feminism.
