MN Thrives Promotes Mental Well-Being in the North Star State

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) invites residents from across the North Star State to participate in Minnesota Thrives (MN Thrives). MN Thrives is a “collectively sourced and interactive database of current state efforts to promote mental well-being and inclusive, thriving Minnesota communities.” The premise behind this initiative is to establish a central location where people and communities can both discover and share new tools and strategies that foster mental health, resilience, and overall wellness. Moreover, the values of MN Thrives include:

  • Fostering a public health approach to mental health services and support networks
  • Integrating a broad set of mental health strategies
  • Incorporating innovative and evidence-based practices
  • Collaborative learning
  • Equity and inclusion

For more information on MN Thrives, how to explore the database, submit a database entry of your own, and additional ways to get involved, please visit MDH’s MN Thrives webpage. This site also includes a number of critical resources such as the: MDH Framework for Mental Health Promotion – A Guide for Community Investment; the MN Thrives Survey; and the MN Thrives Social Media Toolkit. And, for additional questions and inquiries, please contact Anna Lynn at anna.lynn@state.mn.us or John Eshun at john.eshum@state.mn.us.
