Working Together: The Archives

April Is National Volunteer Month

“At the end of the day it’s not about what you have or even what you’ve accomplished… it’s about who you’ve lifted up, who you’ve made better. It’s about what you’ve given back.”

  – Denzel Washington

We are one full week into the month of April, which among other things, is Fair Housing Month, Financial Awareness Month, and National Month of Hope. It is also both National Volunteer Month and Global Volunteer Month, which honor individuals that serve others and help to foster more vibrant, equitable communities through their everyday actions.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of organizations such as ours. And, in a normal year, Community Action Partnership of Ramsey & Washington Counties benefits from the support of hundreds of committed and talented individuals that collectively contribute thousands of hours to positively impact their communities and the lives of their fellow residents.

Of course, the past two years have been anything but normal. Nonetheless, we have been able to provide limited in-person and virtual volunteer opportunities that have made an indelible impact. And, as we continue to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, more and more opportunities will become available in the future. To keep up-to-date with new volunteer opportunities, please visit our Volunteer in Action webpage, send an email to volunteers@caprw.org, or call us at 651-603-5940. And again, thank you to volunteers everywhere that continue to make a difference in the world.
