This February, Community Action Partnership of Ramsey & Washington Counties will launch its Social & Emotional Well-Being Webinar Series. In presenting this four-part series, we will partner with experts in the mental health industry to provide the communities we serve with vital health and wellness tools and strategies. Although trauma and stress are issues that affect those living low-income lives most, if not all of the time, sufficiently addressing these struggles, pressures, and anxieties is of particular importance at this moment in our history when the coronavirus pandemic, coupled with persistent social, political, and economic crises, disparately affect low-income and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) communities.
The first webinar in this series, presented by Dr. Katherine Lingras, PhD, LP, is titled “Parenting During a Pandemic” and will take place on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Central Standard Time. Dr. Lingras, Assistant professor and child psychologist at the University of Minnesota, will discuss positive parental and caregiving strategies designed to build the social and emotional resilience in children during the current pandemic and beyond.
