Tomorrow, July 1, 2020, is the final day that Community Action Partnership of Ramsey & Washington Counties will be accepting applications for the 2019-2020 Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) year. Although a number of energy providers have temporarily suspended shut-offs due to nonpayment, Community Action Energy Assistance encourages households to contact your energy company to set up a payment arrangement and, if possible, to apply for Energy Assistance no later than tomorrow (July 1), by calling us at (651) 645-6470 or visiting us online at https://caprw.org/services/energy-food-housing/energy-assistance.html.
If you have already been approved for an Energy Assistance grant during the current season and still have a past due bill, please call us immediately to see if additional crisis funds can be applied to your account.
On another important note, as Community Action’s Energy Conservation crews anxiously await their safe return to the field, weatherization staff have been developing comprehensive strategies and workflow designs to ensure and enhance the safety and efficiency of future energy audits and home visits. If you are interested in learning more about our Energy Conservation services, you can contact us by phone at (651) 482-8260 or via email at eap@caprw.org.
