Early voting begins today across Minnesota both for early voting in-person and early voting by mail. In-person early voting will go on from today through November 7, while votes by mail must be received by October 18th. Some towns and cities also allow for in-person absentee voting. If you are not registered, you can register in-person as well if you provide proof of residence.
As Minnesotans prepare to vote either early or on Election Day (November 8, 2022), there are many things you will need to plan and prepare for, including registering, finding your early voting polling locations, and locating vote by mail dropboxes.
We also encourage folks to educate themselves on the candidates and issues. MRPNews has a great rundown of the midterm elections for those who like a deep dive. The secretary of state website is always a helpful tool. You can also check out Community Action's dedicated Voting webpage which has compiled all the candidates websites, sample ballots, ways to get involved, and other helpful resources.
We hope everyone who can gets out and votes this midterm season! Let you voices be heard!
