MnDAP Seeks to Enhance Services and Supports to Residents with Disabilities

The Minnesota Disability Action Partnership (MnDAP), a collection of more than two dozen nonprofit organizations and state agencies, is seeking to enhance services and program supports to Minnesotans with disabilities. According to the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS), MnDAP was established in direct response to the “inequities highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic” within the state’s disability community.

As part of its effort, MnDAP has created a short, online survey designed to help the State of Minnesota and its program partners “better coordinate services, improve access to services, remove barriers, and protect the civil rights of Minnesotans with disabilities.”

The survey, which is intended only for people 18 years of age or older, is purely voluntary and completely anonymous. Those who participate in this survey will be asked to share general information about their life experience and issues in their community that are not being adequately addressed. MnDAP asks that participants “not include any personally identifiable information” about themselves or others. For more details including the privacy policy and how to compete the MnDAP survey, click here. The survey is open until Thursday, March 31, 2022.

Additional support for individuals, families and service providers in Minnesota’s disability community are available online at Disability Hub MN. Tools and resources include assistance with housing, employment, independent living, healthcare, food support, transportation, COVID-19 support, and other benefits.
