Community Action to Host Blood Drive November 3

Community Action will be partnering with our friends at the American Red Cross Blood Services to host a blood drive on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 10 AM to 4 PM. The blood drive will take place in the Wellstone room, which is located in lower level of the Community Action Resource Center. There are still plenty of time slots available to schedule your blood donation. We encourage everyone who is physically able and eligible to consider donating blood.

Blood drives like this are so important because they help maintain a diverse blood supply in our medical industry. The blood folks like you donate will be used for patients undergoing surgery, cancer treatment, and transfusions for blood loss from people suffering from traumatic injuries. In short, your donation will help save lives.

If you are planning on donating blood at our blood drive, please make sure you are prepared. Get a good night’s sleep and eat plenty of food before you donate. This is not the day you want to skip breakfast. You’ll also need to bring in a photo ID and a medication list if you are currently taking medications.
