The St. Paul - Ramsey County Rent Assistance Program is still Available to Assist those Impacted by the Pandemic

Have you or someone you know fallen behind on rent as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic? The St. Paul – Ramsey County Rental Assistance Program is still taking applications to assist tenants in catching up on past due rent and averting possible eviction. Qualifying households in St. Paul and greater Ramsey County include those at or below 80% of the area median income (AMI) in 2020 or the most recent calendar month that has been completed. Eligible renters can request past due rent and utility assistance dating back to March 13, 2020. All applicants must provide documentation of rent and utilities costs accrued as well as information on how the COVID-19 pandemic has caused financial hardship. Employer pay stubs, federal tax returns, and other proof of income may be required.

Community Action Partnership of Ramsey & Washington Counties is the administrator of the program and will process all applications. For more details, including eligibility guidelines, please call (651) 999-5737 or send an email to renthelp@caprw.org. And, to apply directly online please visit us at https://submit.caprw.org/forms/cera.

The St. Paul – Ramsey County Rent Assistance Program is also partnering with several “field navigators,” that are available to answer questions about the program. These partners include Comunidades Latinas Unidas En Servicio (CLUES), Hmong American Partnership (HAP), the Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC), and McLemore Holdings. More information one each of these organizations can be found at https://www.ramseycounty.us/residents/assistance-support/assistance/financial-assistance/emergency-assistance.
