Starting today, May 26, 2021, the Minnesota Community Vaccination Program will be offering the Johnson & Johnson, single-dose COVID-19 vaccine at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in Falcon Heights. Today also kicks off the final two-weeks of the State Fairground site, which will cease operations at 8:00 p.m. CT, on Tuesday, June 8, 2021.
Plenty of appointments are available and can be scheduled by calling 833-431-2053, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Telephone operators speak multiple languages and can assist participants in making language/ADA accommodations. ASL (American Sign Language) services will also be available at the vaccination site.
Residents can also schedule a vaccine appointment online at either the State of Minnesota Vaccine Connector (in English, Hmong, Somali, or Spanish) or the Minnesota Department of Health’s Primary Bio site (in Amharic, English, Hmong, Karen, Oromo, Somali, Spanish, or Vietnamese). Refugees and immigrants that require assistance in making appointments in another language should call 651-318-0989 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
And, for the first time, the Minnesota State Fairgrounds vaccination site is welcoming walk-up appointments. The site is open daily from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. through June 8. Vaccines are free and no insurance or ID is required. You will simply need to provide you first and last name, date of birth and home address. Anyone 18 years of age and older, regardless of zip code, is now eligible for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at the State Fairgrounds site.
