Non-filers have One More Day to Claim their Stimulus Payment

FINAL REMINDER

The deadline for the thousands of eligible Americans (generally not required to file a tax return) to still claim their Economic Impact Payment (EIP) in 2020, is tomorrow, November 21. These stimulus payments are part of the original EIP program established as part of the CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act) passed by Congress this past March.

If you have yet to claim your stimulus check, you may do so by midnight tomorrow using the non-filers tool at irs.gov (https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/non-filers-enter-payment-info-here). Once you have submitted your EIP claim, you can track the status of your payment here (https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/economic-impact-payments).

And, should the United States Senate and House of Representatives come to an agreement on a new stimulus package either in the final weeks of 2020, or sometime in 2021, Community Action will cover it here on our Working Together blog and social media platforms Facebook and Twitter.
