Ramsey County has established a Food Resources webpage at ramseycounty.us. The dedicated webpage is designed to help residents in locating free meals and food assistance programs throughout the county. The site also maintains a detailed food resources map that identifies the locations of area food shelves, farmers markets, grocery stores, free produce sites, food delivery services, and free dining and meal sites.
The Ramsey County Food Resources page has weblinks to programs that increase monthly food budgets (SNAP, WIC), food for school-age children (including local school districts providing free meals to kids), assistance for seniors such Help at Your Door, Meals on Wheels, and NAPS (Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors), and Metro Mobility Grocery and Goods Delivery for people with transportation or mobility barriers.
The site also directly links to emergency food support webpage of the Minnesota Department of Human Services. And, the Minnesota Food Helpline can be reached by calling 1-888-711-1151 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday. This helping will help residents connect to programs such as SNAP, WIC, and other government and community resources (interpreters are available).
