Community Action Launching a Virtual Job Club

Community Action’s Employment Services program is launching its Virtual Job Club. The initial installment of this club, which will be offered via the Zoom Video Communications platform, begins on February 22, 2022, and runs through March 29, 2022. The Virtual Job Club will meet on Zoom each Tuesday during this six-week period, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, and offer participants the tools, strategies, and support network to secure employment and potentially start a brand new career. Job Club participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and build their resume and cover letters
  • Investigate and explore potential career options
  • Create their personalized Job Vision Board
  • Enhance their interviewing skills
  • Learn budgeting and asset building strategies

Participants will also be able to share their own experiences and advice as well as provide and receive feedback from fellow job seekers. When you sign up for the Virtual Job Club you will automatically be enrolled in Project Success, Community Action’s principal employment services program. And, everyone taking part in the Virtual Job Club is eligible to receive a free Chromebook and broadband internet services. The internet services are provided for the duration of the program (February 22 to March 29), but the Chromebook is yours to keep. Those who attend all six-meetings will also receive a modest stipend at completion of the program.

To sign up, please contact either Susan at 651-603-5910 or sbuckman@caprw.org; or Julia at 651-603-5963 or jbeverly@caprw.org. Conduct your job search with confidence! Stand out it interviews! Get the job you are looking for! It all starts here with Community Action’s Virtual Job Club!
