Energy Assistance is still available through September 1, 2021

REMINDER

Community Action’s Energy Assistance Program still has crisis funding to help individuals and families in need through September 1, 2021. We encourage households in Ramsey or Washington counties that are already enrolled in the program to call us at (651) 645-6470 if you have a past due amount on your bill and/or have received a disconnection notice from your service provider. And, for those that still need to apply to the Energy Assistance Program, applications are available on our Energy Assistance webpage (https://caprw.org/services/energy-food-housing/energy-assistance.html). Applications can also be requested through US Mail or be picked up at our St. Paul headquarters (450 Syndicate Street North – Suite 122) or our Washington County program site in Oakdale (1101 Geneva Avenue North).

In addition to utility bill assistance, Community Action’s Energy Assistance Program can provide households in Ramsey and Washington counties with home energy crisis intervention (including emergency furnace repair/replacement), home energy advocacy, information about utility consumer rights, as well as referrals to our Energy Conservation program and the programs and services of other community-based agencies. For more information, including 2020-2021 eligibility guidelines, application assistance, and other helpful links (legal aid, MN’s Cold Weather Rule), please call Energy Assistance at (651) 645-6470, email us at eap@caprw.org, or visit our website at https://caprw.org/services/energy-food-housing/energy-assistance.html. And, for those outside of Ramsey or Washington counties in need of Energy Assistance, please visit the Minnesota Department of Commerce online at https://mn.gov/commerce/.
